Cybersex Trafficking Campaign
The online sexual exploitation of children is extremely hard to fathom–especially when some of the victims are exploited by their own family. The directive for this campaign was to share honestly the harsh realities of cybersex trafficking while communicating it in terms that everyone could understand.
We knew this campaign would be introducing a brand new type of trafficking that many of our supporters had never heard of, and we also knew that it would likely be shocking to many of them. As the lead writer on this campaign, I had to walk the line between jarring people and making sure the survivor’s story was told in an honest and honoring way.
This online campaign was accompanied by a print mailing in November and December of 2016 and brought in $1.2 million dollars.
