To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA) is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.
While I was the communication manager at TWLOHA, I oversaw interactions with nearly 2 million followers and fans on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. In my first two months with the organization, I helped lead two major campaigns, bringing in over $80,000 for treatment and recovery programs, 10,000 new followers, and expanded our reach to nearly 4 million people.
I worked on sending timely, informative, and beautiful emails to the 100,000+ subscribers in our email database. With a majority of our emails being opened on mobile devices, planning emails that are just as effective on mobile as they are on desktop computers was a unique challenge.
